Not that it was ever really stated as such but Songs From A Dictaphone was kinda the final piece in the triptych that began with Lost Soul Music.

Bursting with vivid musical imagery and reaching into all corners of the SJD musical cupboard, tracks like Beautiful Haze and ‘I Wrote This Song For You’ etched themselves into the public’s psyche, by fair means or foul.

If you’re only going to buy one Kiwi album this year, this is it.
